Applications are now being accepted for the Cisco Youth Leadership Award, part of the Global Citizen Prize, which recognizes a person between the ages of 18 and 30 for making a significant contribution to the fight against extreme poverty.

In order to highlight and elevate a young person making a positive difference in the world, show how young people are contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Global Goals, and expedite the solution of global problems, Cisco and Global Citizen established the Global Citizen Prize: Cisco Youth Leadership Award.

The United Nations Global Goals for Sustainable Development will be selected based on five criteria: vision, impact, catalyst, global citizenship, and technology innovation. The winners will be chosen based on their vision, impact, catalyst, global citizenship, and technology innovation, aiming to extend efforts and demonstrate measurable impact over the next 3-5 years.
