For a Junior Officer position in Business Development and Private Sector Partnerships within the GRP Secretariat, we are looking for an exceptional individual. The diversified, multinational GRP Secretariat organises and spurs the Partners' work as well as carries out particular tasks on the Partnership's behalf. The Junior Officer for Business Development and Private Sector Partnerships will work in a fast-paced team virtually, with offices in Cape Town, South Africa, and Stockholm, Sweden.
With a background in private sector relationship management or fundraising, the chosen applicant will be energetic and inspiring, able to foster new business prospects and relationships in a setting that requires grant writing or fundraising. They will be able to flourish in strengthening GRP's existing alliances, establish new ones, and win over decision-makers with the confidence they deserve.
An organised, trustworthy, upbeat, and ambitious network builder with the capacity to come up with original and creative ideas will be well suited for this position. Prospective candidates must to possess the ability to collaborate effectively, uniting individuals towards a shared objective. Resilience to climate change and sustainability are advantages. Someone that is self-reliant, proactive, and results-oriented is what we are looking for. The ideal candidate for this role would be someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and views challenges as opportunities for creativity. Working closely with the Head of Innovation and Scaling and the Head of Programmes, the role will report to the Private Sector Partnerships and Business Development Lead.
The primary duties include creating a private sector partnership strategy, collaborating with the Head of Programmes to enhance funding, identifying high-potential prospects, managing donor relationships, and helping with grant reporting requirements. Supporting engagement with private sector partners is made possible by GRP's role as the PREPARE Call to Action for the Private Sector's implementing partner.
Working remotely, the GRP Private Sector Partnerships and Business Development Lead is a member of the GRP Programmes team.
