REMOTE JOB OPPORTUNITY : Free to Run is hiring a Global Programs Manager

Applications are open for the position of Global Programs Manager Free to Run.

About

The goal of Free to Run (FTR) is to use running to promote gender equity around the world. Since 2014, we, a registered nonprofit/nongovernmental organisation, have been running community-led programmes in conflict areas for adolescent girls and young women. Our reputation stems from our ability to provide youth-led, progressive running, leadership, rights, and health programmes that last over time. But our work's longer-term effects are creating long-lasting social change, which lowers barriers to public engagement, boosts the number of women in leadership roles, and improves the equity and inclusivity of power structures. Feminism, human rights, sport, development, and humanitarian interventions are all areas of focus for Free to Run.

The organisation is currently experiencing substantial expansion in terms of its strategy, impact, reach, and operating budget. We are going to start a new three-year strategic plan in 2024, which will put us in a position to serve 50,000 people by 2026. We will do this by providing direct service, developing the capacity of local, women-led NGOs, and creating a movement of activists who are passionate about freedom and running.

Overview of the Position
The Global Programmes Manager bears the overall responsibility of guaranteeing that Free to Run initiatives across the globe effectively advance our purpose. Our direct service programmes are being carried out in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Palestine in 2024. Central Asia and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region are likely to host additional partner programmes. Significant work with the programme teams in-country will be required for this, in addition to ongoing coordination and cooperation with our global team. The job is full-time, travel-intensive, and can be done remotely from anywhere in the world. The (Global) Executive Director is the person who this role reports to.

The Global Programs Manager role is a full-time, 40-hour week, with potential for night or weekend work. Compensation is based on experience and market rates, with free to run salaries being moderately competitive in the NGO market.

Don't miss out on the application deadline which is 09th February 2024.
