PAID INTERNSHIP : Apply to be a UNFPA Social Media Intern in New York, USA,

Applicants with the ability to inspire, alter, and generate long-lasting, significant outcomes are sought after by UNFPA. UNFPA is looking for interns who are great at managing the resources entrusted to them and who are dedicated to delivering excellence in programme results.

Under the close supervision of one of the Social Media Officers, the intern will support the Digital Communications team with social media operations and content creation. A work schedule including objectives for the duration of the internship and educational opportunities will be agreed upon.

Through monthly progress meetings, an environment conducive to the intern's skill and capacity development in areas related to UNFPA's mission and digital communications will be established. Prospective interns must either live in New York or be able to do so for the duration of the internship.

Engage in imaginative ideation for campaigns and messaging on social media;

assist the Social Media Team in managing UNFPA's worldwide accounts and current initiatives on a daily basis;
Carry out further tasks as needed.

  • A better knowledge of how big, global companies use social media in particular and communications in general to develop their brands
  • Recognise the goals and policies of UNFPA, especially the regional framework.
  • Recognise and become acquainted with message and communication principles.Develop your ability to communicate with inclusive language.

  • Recognise how to take part in a collaborative and artistic content creation process.

- A stipend is available to interns who do not get funding from another source (such as the government, university, or academic institution) to help with living expenses.
- The intern's agreed-upon place of employment determines the stipend; in the event of remote work agreements, this location may differ from the hiring office's duty station. Normally, the stipend is paid at the end of each month in local currency.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications for UNFPA's internship programme must be in the final year of a first-year university degree, in a postgraduate degree programme, recently graduated, or enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship programme.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic, familiarity with best practises on sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter, writing, and analytical abilities, as well as the ability to collaborate well with a varied team are all desirable qualities.
