Eligibility Criteria
Applicants cannot apply if any members of their family are employed by the UNHCR.Regardless of nationality, candidates are welcome to apply from anywhere in the world.
The candidate must be enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate programme at a university or other higher education establishment that has received UNESCO accreditation.
Freshly graduating students are also welcome to apply.
Applicants must have finished two years of college coursework in a field related to the organization's goals or a related subject.
Only those who have recently graduated from college are eligible to apply. Candidates who have completed their school within the past year are referred to as "fresh graduates.
"Candidates need to speak and write English well.
Although it is helpful, proficiency in the UNHCR's second language is not necessary. (Spanish, Russian, Chinese, French, and Arabic).
