Please continue reading for instructions on how to apply for this internship.

Overview of Halle Foundation/AGI Internships
Through the Halle Foundation/AGI Internship Programme, you can gain both professional and academic experience at a non-profit think tank that works to improve ties between Germany and the United States.

In the meanwhile, the Halle Foundation works to enhance mutual respect, education, and friendship between German and American citizens. At the same time, the American-German Institute (AGI) in Washington, DC, is the only think tank dedicated to important matters that concern both Germany and the US.

The Halle Foundation/AGI internships aim to provide interns with exposure to various aspects of an American nonprofit Public Policy Institute, independent research opportunities, active participation in ongoing projects and events, and networking opportunities with transatlantic experts and practitioners.

Interns at the Halle Foundation/AGI do research on transatlantic relations, compose papers, help fellows, draught briefs, manage social media, find collaborations, and offer administrative support. They are evaluated at the halfway and final stages of their internship.

The following semesters, successful applicants will work as interns at AGI for a minimum of three months:

Spring 2024: January–May; November 10, 2023, is the application deadline.
June–August is the summer of 2024 (application deadline: April 12, 2024)
Fall 2024: September–December; July 19, 2024, is the application deadline.
