About ACT Foundation:
Established in 2016, Aspire Coronation Trust (ACT) Foundation is a grant-making organization with a mission to support non-profit and social enterprise organizations across Africa. Our focus areas encompass Health, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Environment. We champion sustainable, high-impact initiatives that offer innovative solutions to Africa's social, economic, and environmental challenges. Our vision is to harness partnerships for effective social impact solutions throughout the continent. We are dedicated to building sustainable societies by supporting initiatives that unlock potential and empower beneficiaries.
Eligibility Criteria for Grants:
Organizations applying for ACT Foundation grants must meet the following criteria:
- Operate within ACT Foundation's focus areas of Health, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Environment.
- Be legally registered within their respective African countries for at least two years (24 months).
- Be registered as a non-profit organization (GTE/LTD). For social enterprises, funding is available only for initiatives that are not for profit.
- Demonstrate a strong governance structure, with the board of directors reflected in the registration documents.
- Show evidence of other funding sources.
- Maintain a minimum staff size of three part-time/full-time paid individuals.
- Take direct responsibility for project preparation and management, without acting as an intermediary.
- Implement the program initiative within Africa.
Application Timeline:
- The application period begins on October 23, 2023, and ends on November 10, 2023, at 11:59 pm (WAT).
- Successful applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal, including a detailed budget for the grants.
- Proposals should include a robust monitoring and evaluation plan, as well as a sustainability plan.
- Following a thorough evaluation by independent consultants and the final selection of proposals, organizations will receive formal notifications regarding the next steps.
- This will be followed by interviews and physical site visits.
