Enterprise Singapore is hosting the fifth edition of the Sustainability Open Innovation Challenge, which brings together industry partners and encourages creative thinkers to develop sustainable solutions for a range of industries.

Under the four main themes of Climate Change, Green Buildings, Sustainable Agriculture & Trade, and Sustainable Materials, the distinguished industry partners provide their own challenge statements. This competition also has an Open Category that accepts more solutions with a sustainability focus.

Solutions with a sustainability focus are welcome in this year's Open Category and will be directed towards The Liveability Challenge 2023. The Liveability Challenge (TLC) is an international platform that seeks for and expedites the introduction of creative responses to 21st-century urban problems in tropical communities.

With a global reach and a reputation for assisting businesses whose cutting-edge technologies are upending industries in order to make a major beneficial impact on both society and the environment, TLC has expanded to become Asia's leading platform for sustainability solutions.

TLC is concentrated on mitigating the effects of climate change, such as extreme heat and urban heat island effects, and on enabling solutions to reduce carbon emissions at scale. These solutions include cutting-edge technology-based carbon capture, low-carbon energy solutions, and solutions that reduce emissions from industries and buildings.

Your recommended course of action is to be: little or nonexistent externalities and carbon negative throughout the lifecycle;
technological (chemical or physical); scalable and commercially successful; additionally
It is feasible to carry out a trial in Singapore.
