International students are welcome to apply for the Fully Funded NIG Internship in Japan. Undergraduates and graduate students who want to obtain real-world experience in genetics and allied life sciences domains in Japan can apply for the fully supported research internship programme offered by the National Institute of Genetics (NIG) and Genetics programme (Sokendai). With the host serving as a mentor, interns will carry out independent study.

Lab visits, scientific research, and communication are among the other skills included in the programme. From June 13 to July 24, 2024, is when the NIG Internship for 2024 will take place. Participant experiences will be shared and presentations made at the "NIGINTERN Reports Symposium" upon completion of the internship. A certificate of accomplishment will be provided by NIG.
