Remote Job Opportunity: Global Opportunity Youth Network (GOYN) is looking for an Africa Regional Lead

To assist with growing its network throughout Africa, GOYN is looking for a full-time Africa Regional Lead. Managing relationships with GOYN communities to facilitate a smooth onboarding process and offer ongoing support until they are able to function independently are the responsibilities of this role. The Africa Regional Lead, a member of the GOYN Global Team, will assist communities in Senegal, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, and possibly Ghana and Nigeria.

The Forum for Community Solutions at the Aspen Institute is home to the vibrant multi-stakeholder Global Opportunity Youth Network (GOYN), which is run in collaboration with Global Development Incubator (GDI). GOYN is committed to accelerating place-based system reforms in communities globally by providing "Opportunity Youth" (OY), or unemployed, underemployed, or out-of-school youth (ages 15 to 29), with sustainable economic options. With sixteen communities now covered by GOYN since its founding in 2018, including Mombasa (Kenya), Tanga (Tanzania), eThekwini (South Africa), Thies (Senegal), and Mombasa (Kenya), the organisation now serves over four million young people worldwide. In order to accelerate youth engagement and equity by 2030, GOYN plans to alter the lives of millions of young people, create strong community-based collaboratives, and promote systemic changes.

The role involves serving as the primary liaison for Anchor Partners (APs) within GOYN, facilitating meetings, orienting them to the network, and ensuring alignment with GOYN's values. They also identify cross-cutting themes and share learnings across GOYN communities. They support design and implementation activities, engage with funding partners, and contribute to the Global Learning Agenda by suggesting new learning themes and developing case studies.

Dont miss out on the application deadline which is May 31, 2024, at 5:00 PM East Africa Time.
