UPTO USD 5,200 stipend per month : Apply for the Berenson Fellowship Programme

The Berenson Fellowship Programme is presently accepting submissions.

This Fellowship is intended for researchers who study "Italy in the World," and it is made available by The Lila Wallace – Reader's Digest Fund. Projects should focus on the cross-cultural exchanges that occurred throughout the Renaissance, which is generally regarded historically to span the 14th through the 17th century, between Italy and other cultures (such as those of Latin America, the Mediterranean, Africa, Asia, etc.).

I Tatti provides Fellows with the invaluable time they require to conduct their studies with the fewest possible commitments and disruptions in addition to the most academic resources available—a combination that sets the Harvard Centre apart from other such establishments. A select few events held at I Tatti each year are designated for the Fellows, and they are anticipated to participate in the conferences, lectures, and concerts.

A monthly stipend of USD 5,200 is provided by the fellowship, in addition to a one-time supplement for moving costs. At least three days a week must be spent at the Harvard Centre by fellows who reside in Florence.

If there are no apartments available, there is a housing subsidy available. Candidates should specify whether they favour the autumn or the winter-spring season.

Benefits including lunch with other Appointees and access to the Biblioteca Berenson are enjoyed by fellows. They are not permitted to maintain teaching roles or hold another fellowship or award at the same time.
