FULLY FUNDED TO GHANA ,GERMANY : Check out the MuseumsLab 2024 Funding Programme

This programme, called TheMuseumsLab, brings together professionals from Europe and Africa to learn together, network, and build their careers. Bringing people together to create connections between organisations, individuals, countries, and two continents in order to have a meaningful conversation about how museums can address their history, serve the needs of the modern society, and strive for a fair future.

Selection

A selection committee which consists of African and European experts will review the applications.
The selection criteria are:

Professional competencies and experiences
Practical experience of at least 2 years in a museum, heritage site or art space, relating to themes such as Archaeology, Architecture, Art, Cultural History, Natural Sciences and Technology.

Commitment to the programme
High motivation to actively engage in participation formats.
A prerequisite for the selection of a candidate is the binding commitment to participate in all activities of TheMuseumsLab.

Program Benefits
International and national transport to arrive to and depart from programme locations (lowest possible economy class airfare and 2nd class train tickets)
Local public transport (if applicable) during Module 2, Module 3 and the Residencies
Airport transfers (Module 3 in Accra, Residencies in Africa if applicable)
Visa fees (for visa processes at official entities)
Health insurance (reimbursement up to 40 Euros)
Accommodation during the onsite Modules and Residency Locations

Programme related entrance fees
Daily allowance during the onsite Modules and Residencies (limited compensation for meals not provided in the programme)
Eligibility Criteria
- Professionals from African and European museums with a minimum of two years' experience in the field of museums, heritage, or art.
- Presently employed in the field of museums, culture, and the arts
two years or more of hands-on experience in a museum, historic site, or creative space with a focus on subjects like natural sciences, technology, archaeology, architecture, or art
dedication to the programme
- Adequate command of the English language
- The applicant's current residence must be in either Europe or Africa.
