Applications are open for the 2024 Kinship Conservation Fellowship for .conservation practitioners around the Globe.

Worldwide support is provided to conservationists by the Kinship Conservation Fellowship. The course will help you grow professionally and will provide you with fresh knowledge, perspectives, and analytical instruments to help you lead projects at home more quickly.

The in-residence program's main objectives include learning market-based conservation solutions and enhancing leadership abilities in the conservation sector. Six Kinship Conservation Pillars are introduced, including adaptive leadership, scale design, and identifying an economic engine for conservation. It is taught by experts from throughout the world.

The programme includes field visits, excursions, and classroom training sessions for fellows to learn about conservation challenges, sustainable fishing, and forestry practices. Fellows socialize, explore Bellingham, and enjoy international cuisines. They build relationships through unofficial gatherings and classroom sessions.

Program Benefits
- Fellows receive US$8000 in stipend for attending the Fellowship in Bellingham, WA; this amount is net of typical U.S. tax withholding. Regarding the stipend, each Fellow is in charge of covering their own applicable local, state, and federal taxes. Furthermore, usual US tax withholding (currently at 30%, resulting in a net payment of roughly $5600, subject to change based on then-current US tax rules) will apply to payments made to non-citizens of the US.

A fellowship program seeks conservation leaders with five years of market-based experience, requiring a college degree, relevant work experience, English proficiency, and conservation practitioner experience.
