Candidates from the Commonwealth's least developed and lower-middle-income nations are the target audience for this effort. With the help of prestigious UK universities, it provides a fully-funded chance for full-time master's study on specific disciplines.

This scholarship programme, run by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) in the UK, fits within the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) framework and supports the goals of international development set forth by the UK government.

A valid passport and complete transcripts of all higher education coursework, including current course transcripts, with certified translations are required of applicants as proof of citizenship or refugee status.
