All overseas students are welcome to apply for Japan Study Support Scholarships, with the exception of Japanese nationals who want to begin their higher education programme in Japan.

The majority of the scholarships are meant for foreign students attending Japanese institutions and colleges. It can be as easy as breathing to obtain a scholarship in Japan, provided that you meet the necessary age, academic, and financial conditions.

Throughout the duration of their scholarship, all beneficiaries must submit periodic reports (a few times each year). These reports might be published in one of the relevant information booklets or uploaded to the JPSS website.
