International students who meet the requirements can apply for DAAD MIDE Scholarships from the Berlin University of Applied Sciences to study in Germany.

Details of the DAAD MIDE Scholarship: The major applied sciences university in Berlin, HW Berlin, is offering an 18-month full-time Master's degree programme in "International and Development Economics" (MIDE) that is taught exclusively in English under the DAAD MIDE Scholarship 2024.

The programme prepares students to work in fields related to global economic affairs and development. It is designed for students from developing and transitional countries, as well as from Germany and other developed countries with a special interest in the economic challenges facing "third world" countries.

Students with a first degree in economics, business administration, or other social sciences with an emphasis on economics are eligible to apply for the Master's course in International and Development Economics.

The MIDE Scholarship is one of the postgraduate development-related scholarships provided by DAAD. It consists of;

payments every month totaling 934 euros.

Eligibility Criteria

originate in a developing nation
possess a minimum of two years of professional experience subsequent to graduation; nevertheless, the graduation date shouldn't be older than six years.
have earned 180 ECTS (or equivalent) towards their first university degree.
Having completed at least 15 ECTS in Economics (3 Economics courses for international applicants).
fulfil the university's English language requirements for postgraduate studies.

Application Procedure

To apply for the DAAD MIDE Scholarship 2024, candidates must submit a motivation letter, transcript, grading system explanation, CV, passport copy, proof of English language proficiency, and a secondary school Leaving Certificate.
