FULLY FUNDED : Apply  for the scholarships at Bonn University in Germany

Applications are open for the Master’s Degree Scholarship in Geography & Environmental Science, Bonn University

With the goal of advancing equitable and sustainable development for all, the United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research offers policy recommendations and economic research. As the United Nations University's initial research institution, the Institute got its start more than 30 years ago in Helsinki, Finland.

The United Nations University and the Department of Geography at the University of Bonn have successfully collaborated to produce this master's programme.

Supported by the German organisation DAAD, it makes a significant contribution to the internationalisation of the University of Bonn.

Additional Information

  • In order to be eligible for these scholarships, students must apply for the programme and the DAAD programme separately; acceptance into one does not imply acceptance into the other.
  • Every year, between February and April, the shortlisted candidates will be chosen for the EPOS financing.
  • Applicants who do not meet the EPOS requirements but would still like financial assistance for their studies are encouraged to apply separately and as soon as possible to alternative funding schemes that are offered in Germany.

Transcript, Europass CV, motivational letter, academic credentials, academic reference letter, copy of passport, and English exam are all included in the document.

Eligibility Criteria
- Having been classified by the DAAD as a candidate from a "Developing Country"
- Obtaining at least two years of real-world work experience in a field linked to the academic programme, such as with a GO, NGO, or the private sector.
- With a bachelor's degree earned no more than five years prior
- Having completed no other Master in a similar field of studies
- Wishing to pursue a career as a practitioner in a field connected to the study programme
